It appears that the deal is all but done, as the Portland Trail Blazers have added Gerald Wallace from the Charlotte Bobcats. Wallace is one of the most athletic players in the league, and should fit in perfectly with LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews on the Trail Blazers roster.

In return the Bobcats receive Joel Pryzbilla, multiple draft picks, and some cash from Portland. Pryzbilla, a reserve center who has faced an array of injuries over the past several seasons, is more enticing for Charlotte because of his expiring contract. Portland will lose several draft picks and cash, but considering they are owned by billionaire Paul Allen the cash shouldn’t be a big factor.

Wallace is one of the most athletic players in the league, and has earned the nickname Crash due to his playing style.
