Coming into the 2014-15 NBA season, very few gave the Los Angeles Lakers any chance at making a playoff push in the Western Conference. However, this is the Lakers, and they are still expected to be better than the 10-22 record they have gotten out to this season.

Despite some disappointment, Byron Scott says he wants to see steady improvement according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

The Lakers got off to a rough 1-9 start, but had begun to play better before their most recent slump that has seen them lose six of their last eight games. Despite playing the NBA’s toughest schedule so far, the Lakers have been in most games late and have gotten some impressive wins over the likes of the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors.

Scott added that he believes the Lakers are headed in the right direction and the team very well could be. At this point, with basically no chance at the playoffs, improvement, both as a team and individually, is the most important thing for the Lakers as they try to return to glory.
