Clippers Present Hornets Offer for Chris Paul

After plenty of speculation that Chris Paul might end up playing with the Lakers next season it’s now being reported that there is indeed a Los Angeles team making an offer for the Hornets point guard.

Ken Berger of CBS is now reporting that the Los Angeles Clippers are offering a package built around Eric Gordon and DeAndre Jordan for Paul.

Berger also mentioned the possibility of the Lakers landing Paul.

“The “other” L.A. team, the Lakers, also have a strong hand in their efforts to try to land Paul, Howard, or in a dream world, both. The Lakers have no chance of clearing the cap space necessary to lure Paul next summer, so their best chance is their deep stockpile of assets, including Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.”

However, if the Lakers focus on trading for Howard it might cost them a chance to trade for Paul.
