D-Fenders News: D-Fenders Beat 87ers For Second Game In A Row

After beating the Delaware 87ers on Monday night, the Los Angeles D-Fenders repeated their performance on Wednesday as they defeated the 87ers, 128-124.

In the first quarter, the D-Fenders began the game with Brandon Costner in the starting lineup filling in for the injured Travis Hyman. They started off the game well, draining a total of nine three-pointers. Going into the second with a nine-point lead, Los Angeles lost their edge as the 87ers at one point held a one-point lead. Although, a Terrence Williams dunk would secure the D-Fenders lead going into halftime. During the first half, the team shot 49.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three.

The third quarter was a struggle for Los Angeles, falling behind by as many as eight points. A 7-0 run helped the D-Fenders shift the momentum, finding themselves with a two-point lead heading into the final quarter. The lead continued to shift back and forth in the fourth, but the D-Fenders remained triumphant over the 87ers by four points.

Manny Harris had another impressive performance with 44 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists. Shawne Williams and Terrence Williams also finished with double-doubles with 24 points and 10 rebounds and 11 points and 11 assists respectively.

The D-Fenders look to extend their win streak on Tuesday, March 11 against the Tulsa 66ers.
