D-Fenders News: D-Fenders Crush 87ers With Franchise Record 157 Points

The Los Angeles D-Fenders returned to El Segundo Monday night and defeated the Delaware 87ers 157-134. These 157 total points scored set the franchise record for most points scored in a game.

The D-Fenders started off the first quarter with good energy. They were able to manage a lead due to five threes made during this frame. Going into the second, the team’s offense became even more explosive following up with another six three-pointers. Los Angeles scored a season-high 47 points this quarter, shooting an impressive 52.4 percent from three-point line during the first half.

Going into the second half, the team continued to maintain a strong lead. The D-Fenders entered the fourth quarter with a 19 point lead and at one instance, had a 26 point edge above the 87ers. The impressive offensive performance from Los Angeles was the deciding factor in their 157-134 win above the Delaware 87ers.

Manny Harris was once again the D-Fenders top scorer with 38 points, accompanied by 25 points and 10 assists from Terrence Williams, 22 points from C.J. Williams, and 19 points from Travis Hyman. Josiah Turner also put up a double-double with 10 points and an impressive 12 assists.

This win leaves the D-Fenders current record to 21-15. They look for another win against the 87ers on Wednesday, March 5th.
