The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling at the point guard position this season, and in their past two games, the Lakers have allowed the opposing point guards to score a total of 68 points.

After the Lakers almost lost to the Toronto Raptors, Lakers Nation asked the question: “After seeing Jeremy Lin scored 38 points and Jose Calderon scored 30 points on the Lakers today, the Lakers need to ____Fill in the Blank____ to fix the point guard problem.”

The majority of fans agreed that the Lakers could get younger at the one, and there were many named ranging from Gilbert Arenas to Rajon Rondo.

Lacinio Pichardo wrote that the Lakers should trade Derek Fisher, but some fans like Bryant Diaz believe the Lakers should keep the guards they have now but make Steve Blake the starter.

However, the majority of fans want the Lakers to make a move and bring a player from the outside. Many members of Lakers Nation felt that a star point guard was something the Lakers needed and Deron Williams and Chris Paul were very popular names. Nevertheless, those who wrote in Jose Calderon or Ramon Sessions understood that going after a feasible trade was the best option for the Lakers.

At this point, it is clear that the Lakers need to do something at the point guard position.  Names have been surfacing around, none more than Gilbert Arenas. Although Arenas has had a history of trouble, he can surely help Kobe Bryant in the sub-par back-court.
