Above the Rim. Submitted by @HDWD

Above the Rim was released in 1994 and stars Duane Martin, Leon, Tupac Shakur and David Bailey.  The actors put on a mediocre show but the movie didn’t go above the rim, it more or less grazed the net.  The music was perhaps the best part of the film, which was most performed by legend Tupac Shakur.

Honorable Mention:

Like Mike was released in 2002 and stars Lil Bow Wow, Morris Chestnut, Jonathan Lipnicki and Robert Forster.  Personally, Like Mike is either number one or number two on my favorite movie list. I used to watch this movie almost everyday when I was a kid, which wasn’t long ago.  The movie is about an orphan who has a love for basketball, and finds a pair of “special” shoes, that would change his life forever.
