The most exciting off-season in NBA history is about to come to an end as the season tips off on Tuesday. With all the publicity surrounding the Miami Heat after their remarkable free agent success, everything that happens in South Beach makes headlines. With all the money tied up in the top three spots on the roster, Miami has had to be frugal with the rest of their players.

Recently, injuries have hit the Heat as we get closer to the start of the regular season. The most recent injury comes to another new addition, Mike Miller, who will be out until January with a broken hand. To replace Miller the Heat brought in veteran swingman Jerry Stackhouse, a nearly 36 year-old journeyman now joining his sixth NBA team.

With one of the biggest questions surrounding the Heat this year being their lack of depth, and this is certainly not going to help matters. As the season creeps closer, this will be another interesting storyline to follow.
