Jeremy Lin Refuses To Talk Free Agency, Discusses Second Half Goals

Jeremy Lin has been something of a disappointment during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has moved from starter to reserve and his minutes have been fluctuating all season which has led to serious inconsistency in his play.

Lin will be an unrestricted free agent after this year, but according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, he isn’t thinking about the off-season, especially with the trade deadline quickly approaching:

Now that the Lakers are back practicing after the All-Star Break, Lin has goals in mind for the remainder of the season via Winters:

Even though he hasn’t been great this season, Lin is still a very solid back-up point guard in the NBA. Head coach Byron Scott has not been shy about criticizing Lin this year, but Lin seems focused on continuing to improve his point guard skills.

Lin’s trade market has reportedly been pretty empty so far and the odds seem to be leaning towards Lin remaining with the team for the rest of the year. Scott has said that there is another lineup change coming soon so it will be interesting to see Lin’s role down the stretch of the season.
