The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their second consecutive victory Tuesday night as the team defeated the Detroit Pistons, 106-96. Behind a stellar third quarter in which the Lakers outscored the Pistons by 15, the team improved to 5-13 and started its back-to-back with a solid win.

Jordan Hill was the star of the game and impressed everyone with his 22 points, 13 rebounds and a plus/minus of +10. As for Kobe Bryant, the guard is coming off a triple-double performance against the Raptors and he was able to record a double-double behind 12 points and 13 assists on Tuesday.

After the game, Hill spoke to the media and talked about the recent play of the Lakers via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

The Lakers are now 4-0 against Eastern Conference opponents and have another two match-ups in store this week. Although they are still miles away from competing in the Pacific Division, the Lakers are making strides of becoming a better team. The roster is slowing getting adjusted to the rotations and the new coaching staff, which that is evident by its recent play.

Los Angeles will be back on the court Wednesday night when it heads to the nation’s capital. John Wall and the Washington Wizards are one of the best young teams in the league and have some exciting wins thus far this season. The Lakers’ backcourt will have its hands full containing Wall and Bradley Beal and with only one day of rest, the league did not do it any favors.
