Jordan Hill On Potentially Starting Against Rockets: ‘Anything Can Happen’

NBA: Houston Rockets at Los Angeles LakersThe Los Angeles Lakers lost another game on the road on Tuesday with the Dallas Mavericks absolutely destroying Pau Gasol and company, 123-104.

With the Lakers being dismantled by a mediocre Mavs squad, head coach Mike D’Antoni will have quite a dilemma on his hands with the team staying in the state of Texas in order to face the Houston Rockets for the first time since Dwight Howard left Los Angeles on Thursday.

Heading into the matchup with the Rockets, D’Antoni may choose to mix it up once again with Hill potentially getting the start over Shawne Williams. Hill was asked about the potential of starting after the loss to the Mavs and said the following:

“Anything can happen, I just have to see what’s on his mind. See what he want’s to work with and just go from there.”

As one of the most consistent and energetic players off the bench for D’Antoni, it would make sense to give the 26-year-old a shot in the starting lineup going up against a frontcourt of Dwight and Omer Asik.

D’Antoni continues to experiment with this team and the rotation with so many new faces on the roster. One move that has clearly not worked out as planned has been Williams as the starting power forward. Both Jordan Hill and Chris Kaman have made a case to be the starter at the four spot, but neither has gotten the nod with five games in the books for the Lakers.
