The Los Angeles Lakers were very busy on Tuesday after they worked out two of the top prospects in the upcoming NBA Draft. Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox had a morning workout before Kansas forward Josh Jackson came in the afternoon.

In the past few days it has been Jackson being linked as a serious possibility for the Lakers to take with the second overall pick and he was the first prospect to be brought in a second time.

After finishing his workout, Jackson was very open about what he perceives are his strengths and weaknesses, via LakersNation.com’s Serena Winters:

My strengths are quick, versatility, athletic, a great passer. Weaknesses, probably ball handling a little bit and probably still my shooting stroke but both of those are coming along.

Jackson’s athleticism and quickness are certainly strengths as is his passing ability. Jackson has shown the ability to create shots for others which is definitely a strength coming from his position.

He may not have mentioned his defense in this instance, but that is arguably his biggest strength and he did speak about it to the media after his workout. In fact, Jackson believes he can guard four positions at the next level, something the Lakers could surely use.

On the other end, Jackson’s weaknesses are well noted. His shooting is usually the first thing brought up as his form could use some tweaking and even though he shot a respectable 37.8 percent from three-point range, he shot only 56.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Likewise, Jackson understands that improving his ball-handling and ability to create off the dribble, it will further strengthen his playmaking while also lessening the impact his shooting struggles could have.

Ultimately the Lakers will have to make a decision as to who they believe is the best player to add to their core. Lonzo Ball is set to come in for his second workout as well, while Markelle Fultz will also work out on Thursday.
