Kobe Bryant Apparently Likes Going Swimming With Sharks

At this point Kobe Bryant is just kind of a folk legend, right? He’s essentially turning into Paul Bunyan, as more and more stories about how absurd he is continue to surface. First there was him shredding his Achilles and making two free throws anyways. Then, we found out he liked to go on 40-mile bike rides in the desert. Now, it seems Kobe likes to go swimming with sharks.

Yes. Sharks.

In a tweet from Nike PR representative Heidi Burgett, there’s an image of Kobe hurling himself overboard out in the ocean somewhere. The story beneath the image is absolutely absurd.

For those of you that are having trouble seeing the image, here’s what it says;

“Avar witnessed Kobe Bryant’s alpha male personality firsthand on a deep sea fishing trip about 60 miles from Newport, California. “There are sharks, whales, dolphins all around, and he’s like, ‘If I jump, will you jump?’ I’m like, ‘Dude, we just saw sharks.’ He says, ‘Come on.’ No sooner do I say okay, he takes off his shirt and jumps. I literally grab my camera, and got this shot just in time.”

Um. What?

I’m out of clever jokes and witticisms to describe how absurd Kobe is. I know he mentioned that you would pray for the bear in a fight between himself and a bear, and I might actually be to the point where I would actually be concerned the bear might be in some trouble.

I guess if you wanted anymore evidence that Kobe will do whatever he can to be ready for opening night next season, this is just another example of his mindset.
