Kobe Bryant Discusses Positives Of Second Half Against Indiana

USATSI_8273384_154224518_lowresThe Los Angeles Lakers had perhaps their worst performance of the season Tuesday night when they were embarrassed by the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Los Angeles managed to score just 27 points in the first half and never really threatened the Pacers in the final two quarters, eventually losing 110-91.

However, the Lakers did show some signs of life in the second half and improved on the defensive end. Even though the game was never close, the coaching staff will have some positives to take away from the loss. Kobe Bryant spoke to the media after the loss and touched upon the team’s improvement on defense via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

The Lakers entered the night winners of three consecutive games and were looking to make strides in the Western Conference standings with another victory. However, in a quick turnover from a game just one night ago, the Lakers looked fatigued and could not contain the Pacers.

Los Angeles will be off until Friday when it welcomes Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder to Staples Center. The Thunder have both of their stars back in the lineup, so if the Lakers don’t start the game with more energy, it can be a very, very long night.
