After nineteen years donning the fabled purple and gold, the 36 year-old guard has compiled a long list of memorable moments and accomplishments. In a recent interview with Power 106’s Sports Dude, Bryant shared what his favorite moment as a Lakers player has been:

These last couple years is what I’m most proud of. Because I didn’t run right? Like I’m a true and true Laker man. I’m a die-hard Laker. The fact that I didn’t take the easy way out and go play with another contender and try to win championships there. When I look back on my career, that’s what I’ll be the most proud of. The fact that I’m here through thick and through thin.

Surprisingly, Bryant didn’t choose one of his many individual highlight moments or championships. Kobe is most proud that he has stuck with his team in these last few difficult seasons. With his proven pedigree as a winner and competitor, the superstar could have chosen to join a team in contention and chased his sixth championship.

And yet, as much as Kobe loves winning, he loves the franchise that took a chance on a young 17 year-old out of Lower Merion High School back in 1996. Together, they have further elevated the Lakers organization in the new millennium. Following the tumultuous seasons after his Achilles injury, Bryant has shown his loyalty, and the Lakers have demonstrated their commitment and appreciation for the player that has given so much throughout his career.
