The Los Angeles Lakers currently have two very talented and young players that could lead the franchise into what may be a bright future. Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball are now teammates, and it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that they become the next great dynamic duo in the NBA.

On Monday, Ingram made an appearance on ESPNLA’s Mason & Ireland to talk all things Lakers. Of course, Ball’s arrival was a topic of discussion with the Ingram saying the following about his new rookie teammate:

Last season, Ingram got off to a slow start in his rookie campaign. The Duke product struggled to adjust to the NBA level, and it took some time before he started shine under the bright of the Staples Center.

After the arrival of Magic Johnson as the new president of basketball operations following the All-Star break, Ingram looked like an entirely different player. The rookie forward seemingly flipped a switch and became a force to be reckoned with offensively, thrilling Lakers fans on a nightly basis while starting to live up to expectations.

As for Ball, the rookie will make his debut on the court alongside Ingram in Las Vegas next month. Ingram and Ball will headline the Lakers roster for the NBA Summer League in Vegas as long as the rookie’s deal is signed beforehand. Other notable names on the roster will likely be David Nwaba, Ivica Zubac, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Thomas Bryant.

The NBA Summer League will get underway on July 7 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas with the Lakers guaranteed to play five games. The Lakers will face the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Sacramento Kings in their first three games.
