Magic JohnsonCurrent Los Angeles Dodgers owner and Los Angeles Lakers legend, Magic Johnson, has kept himself busy since the end of his playing days with numerous business ventures, a role as an ESPN analyst and varies charity contributions.

Along with helping the Dodgers turn things around this year with an influx of money and talented players, Magic took some time out of his busy schedule to get back on the basketball floor for special appearance in Rhone Island on Sunday. Magic suited up to play in the Jeffery Osborne according to Matt Blanchette of abc6.com:

Magic was in the air in Providence on Sunday as Lakers legend Magic Johnson headlined a celebrity showcase at the Jeffery Osborne charity basketball game.

Magic is still in fantastic shape and coached of one teams.. Providence College’s Ed Cooley was the other coach.

Johnson said the following about the charity game via Blanchette:

“To give back to Rhode Island to his community is really wonderful,” Johnson said.  And then you think about here is a guy that’s made it but hasn’t forgotten where he has come from and wants to make a difference. I love it. So when he asked me to do it I said I am here, just tell me when you need me”

Apparently, Magic has been friends with Jeffery Osborne for over 30 years and is always willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to charities.
