During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson talked about an experience with Michael Jordan during the 1992 Olympics.
Johnson and Jordan were teammates on Chuck Daly’s Dream Team at the time and despite crushing the international competition on a nightly basis, it was the Team USA scrimmages in practice that showcased the most memorable basketball plays involving some of the best players of all-time.
Johnson talked about one practice session in which he made the unwise decision to start trash-talking Jordan. The Chicago Bulls superstar, much like Kobe Bryant during his 20-year career, thrived on proving others wrong while overcoming adversity and embarrassing opponents brave enough to talk trash.
Magic learned his lesson the hard way with the five-time NBA champion telling Kimmel that Jordan took his game to another level after hearing the trash-talk with the Hall of Famer pulling off an unforgettable 360 dunk on David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs in practice.
