After failing to coach the team into championship contention the past two seasons, Mike D’Antoni resigned as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.

With the vacant head coaching position, several coaches have expressed interest. In the midst of the coaching speculation, the Lakers have made it known that they plan on taking their time to hire a new head coach for the team.

Finally, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced the Clippers owner Donald Sterling has been banned for life and was fined $2.5 million dollars for his racist comments caught on audio tape.
