NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Milwaukee BucksThe Los Angeles Lakers had a three game week and to the dismay of fans everywhere, the team went a mediocre 1-3. The Lakers’ only win was against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game that easily could have been sent into overtime. Los Angeles will back on the court Saturday night against the Kings, but knowing the team, the game will probably be closer than expected.

The week was very turbulent for the Lakers and there wasn’t much good news to talk about regarding the team. In the final stretch of the season, the Lakers are not playing great basketball and they are dealing with injuries that can hurt their playoff chances.

Once again, here is Lakers Nation’s week in review.

Lakers Nation Game Recaps:

The Lakers opened the week in Oakland for a big divisional game against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have been a great story this season and they are looking to make some noise in the playoffs once they roll around. Los Angeles entered the game with a great shot at making a push for the Warriors in the division standings, but they dug themselves a bigger hole. The Warriors dominated the Lakers from the tip and despite a run by Los Angeles, the Warriors won 109-103.

Los Angeles claimed its sole victory of week Wednesday night against the undermanned Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers held a double-digit lead in the second half and it appeared as though the team would cruise to a victory. However, the Lakers missed some crucial shots late and gave a chance to the Wolves to send the game into overtime. Luckily, the referees did not call a foul on Bryant late in the game and the Lakers walked off victors.

The Lakers have not swept a back to back once this season and they once again failed to do so Thursday night. Los Angeles made its lone visit to Milwaukee and it had trouble containing the explosive team. The Bucks and their young back court took advantage of their speed and beat the Lakers 113-103.
