The Los Angeles Lakers had a hectic week which was filled with drama and storylines. Although playing in Los Angeles already puts the team under a lot scrutiny, this was an  intense seven days for the Lakers.

However, on the court the Lakers had an impressive 4-1 record in the past week with their lone loss coming last night against the Houston Rockets.

Still the success on the court was shadowed by the conflicts between the players and coaches and here is a look back at the crazy week.

Game Recaps:

The Lakers faced off with the New Orleans Hornets but they did not make anything easy on themselves. The Lakers held a double-digit lead in the first half, but the Hornets never allowed that them to rattle them. Kobe Bryant started the game 0-15 from the field, but when the game was on the line, Kobe came up clutch and hit the game winning three for the Lakers and eventually helped them win, 88-85.

Kobe Bryant bounced back from his dismal shooting performance and dropped 40 against the Golden State Warriors. Bryant also came up clutch in the end and put the game away late when the Lakers needed a bucket. As the final buzzer rang, the Lakers ended up winning 120-112.

For yet another time, Kobe Bryant closed the game out for the Lakers. Los Angeles played a less talented New Jersey Nets team, and when the Lakers needed a basket, Kobe delivered. His late three-point shot sealed the game and gave the Lakers a 91-87 win.

In the final Battle of Los Angeles for the regular season, the Lakers beat the Clippers and won the season series. Kobe Bryant iced the game with his perimeter jumper and silenced the Clippers fans in the building. This was a key game for the Lakers and created further separation in the Pacific Division.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ winning streak was snapped on Friday when they lost to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets always play tough against the Lakers, but the ejection of Andrew Bynum helped lead to a 112-107 loss.
