Lakers News: Dwight Howard To Play A Turkey In Movie “Free Birds”

With the Lakers season over, Dwight Howard seems to be venturing off into other areas of entertainment – specifically the film industry. The movie is titled Free Birds, and Howard will voice over the character named Cold Turkey. Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, and Colm Meaney will also star in this film.

Here is a short synopsis of the film’s plot from IMDb:

Two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.

Howard has made it publicly known that he is interest in acting after he is done playing basketball, so this news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

The movie is expected to debut in the theaters on November 1, 2013, right around turkey time (Thanksgiving) here in America.
