The Los Angeles Lakers held practice on Monday, which meant the injured point guards had another opportunity to continue working themselves closer to a return. Though some of the reports were inconclusive, it is believed Steve Blake and Steve Nash will play on Tuesday when the Lakers face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The other big news of the day were the continued developments of a potential Pau Gasol trade to the Phoenix Suns. Ramona Shelburne stated on ESPN LA 710 radio that any such deal would be ‘complicated.’ Hours after Shelburne’s interview, the Los Angeles Times’ Mike Bresnahan reported the current snag in the deal is the Lakers’ desire to receive a draft pick higher than the Suns’ 17th.

With the trade deadline just over two weeks away, neither team appears to be in a rush to find a resolution. Particularly the Lakers, who have gone through this process countless times before, only to decide against trading Gasol.
