167380833_10Re-signing with the Lakers gives Dwight Howard a guaranteed $30 million next year, but will he do it? Kobe has been harsh towards the big man a few times this season. Always looking out for his players, making sure Dwight reached his full potential was a Kobe priority. Howard visited Bryant at his home recently, and had this to say:

“I think having Dwight come over at that time, really strengthened our bond. He went through a situation where his back surgery, he was all by himself,” Bryant said. “He had nobody there for him. I think he sees … me going through this and doesn’t want me to experience the same thing that he experienced. I see that, I understand that and I respect that. My love for him grew a lot that day.”

Good news for the Lakers if Dwight decides to stay. As of right now, it looks like the big man will not be requiring surgery on his injured shoulder. However, this summer will still be about getting healthy, and working on his shoulder/back is a priority.

After having season ending knee surgery, former Los Angeles Laker, Andrew Bynum, was spotted in Spain dancing the night away. This season, the seven-footer admitted that he re-injured his knees bowling, which left him not playing a single minute on the court. In Spain, Bynum’s movement didn’t seem limited at all, and apart from his towering physique, he looked as normal as he ever has. Check out the video.

Stadium Journey recently released their ranking of the best arenas in the NBA, and Staples Center came in at number two. The Lakers moved into the Staples Center in 1999. Stadium Journey ranks factors including food and beverage in the arena, overall atmosphere, the neighborhood, the fans, access, return on investment and an “extras” category for any unique or bonus points.

The next coming months are going to be exciting, scarey, and downright unpredictable. Lakers Nation loves fan input, so if you want to tell us how you feel the Lakers should be doing, what players they should be looking at, or ask us anything, go to our forums and make a post.
