Fine. A little dramatic. But talk about not being able to catch a break; the Lakers back court just keeps getting injury after injury.

By now I am sure most of you have heard about the fate of Blake, Meeks, and Nash, all of whom look doubtful for tomorrow night:

Steve Blake had an ultrasound test today which confirmed a moderate strain of his right hamstring.  He is out indefinitely.

Steve Nash received two epidural injections in his back today; he also received a cortisone shot in his right hip.  His status for tomorrow’s game is doubtful.

Jodie Meeks will have an MRI test this afternoon on his sprained left ankle.  His status for tomorrow’s game is doubtful.

Nash has been dealing with a hip/hamstring issue over the last month or so. He played Sunday, despite admitting to the media and fans that going into Game 1 he knew he wasn’t 100%. Steve Blake, who has been playing in place of Kobe Bryant and doing an amazing job, injured his hamstring during the game. All in all, Nash finished the game with nine points and six assists in 31 minutes of play, while Steve Blake finished with 16 points and six rebounds in just under 36 minutes. Play me off, Keyboard Cat.

Ross Gasmer put together a cool little chart today detailing all the Lakers injuries this season. In case you really want to see how bad the injury bug has bit this year, check out his post.

The Lakers play their next two games at home, where fans will get a chance to cheer them on and hopefully where Kobe will be allowed to tweet again. Your starting lineup will most likely be Howard, Gasol, World Peace, Morris, and Goudelock. But don’t worry….Andrew Goudelock was MVP this year… of the D-League.

Cue the violins.
