On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers introduced their newest member, Jeremy Lin. After two failed attempts to sign him through the years, the team was finally able to trade for their point guard and multiple draft picks according to general manager Mitch Kupchak.

While the Lakers have yet to name a head coach, team sources denied that the franchise was waiting on Doc Rivers’ situation with the Clippers. As a result, the front runner remains Byron Scott after numerous interviews and there are rumors that Gary Payton could potentially join his coaching staff.
