With the NBA Draft quickly approaching, this year’s top prospects anxiously await to join their team on the next level. Among them is Duke forward Brandon Ingram, one of the consensus top two prospects in this draft class. At 6’9 with a 7’3 wingspan, the wiry young star brings a tremendously polished offensive repertoire while still being just 18-years-old.

It is highly unlikely that Ingram would fall below the Los Angeles Lakers at number two, but the former Duke star said he is still unsure about where he thinks he will end up as he mentioned in an interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio:

Along with being a surefire lottery pick, Ingram was also recently invited to participate in this year’s Team USA Select Team along with potential future teammates Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell:

However, Ingram still has yet to make his decision to play or not if ultimately invited to join the final roster:

After three disappointing seasons, the Lakers were able to avoid yet another huge setback by retaining their lottery pick this year. Now they find themselves in prime position to acquire either of the top two talents in this year’s class depending on who Philadelphia decided to roll with.

It is looking more and more likely that the Lakers will wind up with Ingram, whom they supposedly have preferred all along. Ben Simmons has met with the Philadelphia 76ers face-to-face and has expressed his preference to go first overall and all signs are pointing to that being the case.

All the Lakers can do now is essentially sit and wait come draft day on June 23rd.
