Steve Nash has been plauged with injuries ever since he came to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012, and his age may be getting the best of him.

Fractured legs, back and hamstring injuries, and nerve damage are just a few of the reasons why Nash has been absent from the court.  These setbacks are not all basketball related either. The 40-year-old point guard tweaked his back earlier this season just getting out of bed.

So far in during this season, Nash missed 39 games early on. In his comeback early February, he was forced to sit out yet again due to his nerve damage. His return has always been a big question mark.

Initially, Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni believed that Nash might have to be day-to-day for the rest of the season due to his back, but now, the coach may have changed his stance according to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News:

Despite D’Antoni’s doubts, Nash seems to be a little less conclusive about his future, yet he still remains extremely realistic via Medina:

If Nash does not have the opportunity to play again, this means he will have only played a disappointing 10 games this season. The point guard has been an everyday, rarely injured player up until his time in Los Angeles.

Laker fans are frustrated to say the least, but Nash is still a highly respected player they hope to see make an impact in the possible future if he remains a Laker, but most importantly, if can remain healthy.
