Lakers News: Despite Clutch Shooting, Kobe Unhappy With Turnovers

Kobe Bryant Lakers PracticeLast night, Kobe Bryant hit some remarkable shots (and threw down some clutch dunks as well) in yet another legendary performance as the Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors in overtime, 118-116.

However, if you’re one of those who noticed that Kobe had nine turnovers to add to his 41 points and 12 assists, you’re not the only one.

According to ESPN Los Angeles, Kobe wasn’t pleased with his carelessness of the ball, either:

“I’m a perfectionist. … The turnovers I had were just tired turnovers.”

Similarly, directly after the game in his post-game interview with Mike Trudell of Time Warner Cable’s SportsNet, the newly nicknamed “Vino” called himself “irresponsible” with the ball and credited his clutch shooting to the fact that he wanted to make amends for turning the ball over so much.

Nonetheless, even with the nine turnovers, the team as a whole had just 12; which is under their season average of 14.9.

Certainly, in the long run, no one will remember the turnovers as much as they’ll remember the absolute display of clutch shooting and “will to win” as the Black Mamba continued his string of God-like performances.
