mdahillThe Los Angeles Lakers have dealt with a plethora of injuries this season and the team has not had a healthy roster for quite some time.

Backup forward Jordan Hill is currently sidelined with a left hip injury and after having surgery on Jan. 23, the Lakers expected him to be out of action for at least six months. Hill initially suffered the injury during a Jan. 6 game against the Denver Nuggets, a severe blow to a sub par Lakers bench.

However, according to Mark Medina, the Lakers’ forward may be able to return to action in late April or early May.

It remains a long shot, but Lakers forward Jordan Hill said doctors have told him there’s a slim possibility he could return in late April or early May after spending the past two months rehabbing from a surgically repaired left hip.

Hill has been off crutches for three weeks now and has been increasing the intensity of his workouts; however, he has yet to perform any basketball related exercises. The forward plans to meet with team doctors in three weeks to see if he can make a return to the court, assuming the Lakers make the post season.

At this point, nothing is guaranteed for the Lakers and they are battling with several teams for the final spot in the Western Conference playoff standings. If the team does indeed sneak into the post season, Hill will be a great addition to the team and a fairly small second unit.
