The last few games has seen an improvement in play from some of the Los Angeles Lakers’ young players. Chief among them has been power forward Julius Randle who is averaging 18.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in the last five games.
Included in that stretch was Randle’s third career triple-double, and second of the season, which came earlier this week against the Memphis Grizzlies. Unfortunately, there is a chance that the Lakers could be without Randle.

According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Randle suffered a sprained ring finger on his left hand and is undergoing X-rays:
Julius Randle will have an x-ray pregame on a sprained ring finger on his left hand. Results expected w/in an hour. Currently questionable

Surely Randle and the Lakers are hoping that there is no break or fracture in the finger as that would cause him to miss some time. The Lakers are already missing a power forward with Larry Nance Jr. still down with a bone bruise in his knee.
As long as there is no fracture this is simply a minor thing that will pass in time and Randle won’t miss any time.
Injuries have been an issue for the team this year as D’Angelo Russell, Nick Young, Jose Calderon, Tarik Black, and Nance have all missed some time due to injury this season. Losing Randle, especially in the midst of probably his best stretch of his career, would be a major blow.
