D'Angelo Russell Talks Upcoming Roadtrip, Maturity Of Jordan Clarkson
Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell made a big mistake towards the end of his rookie season, as he filmed teammate Nick Young in a hotel talking about cheating on his then fiancé, Iggy Azalea. His phone then got hacked, resulting in the videos being released.

Russell was highly scrutinized by many after the incident, including teammates, as some of them reportedly refused to talk to him other than on the court.

It was known that the talented rookie was immature, but that incident demonstrated just how immature he was, leading to some people believing that the Lakers should attempt to trade him.

The offseason has come and gone though, and Russell is now in his second year in the league and many people have put that incident behind them as Russell is the team’s starting point guard and showing what he is capable of doing on a basketball court.

Not everyone has forgotten about the incident from last season though, as New York Knicks point guard and Los Angeles native Brandon Jennings recently tweeted that he can’t respect Russell despite how good of a basketball player he is (H/T Dane Carbaugh of Pro Basketball Talk):

“Dude is a great hooper, but I don’t respect a snitch”

Ultimately the only people who were affected by the incident are Young and Azalea, and prior to this season Young said that he and Russell are working it out as he can’t be mad forever, so that is good news for the Lakers moving forward. If Young is able to move on from it, then it would make sense that everyone else should be able to as well.

Jennings comments should make for an interesting game when the Lakers host the Knicks on Sunday, Dec. 11.
