Five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant continues to deal with injury issues in his final season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Although Bryant was able to get back on Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, the veteran superstar wasn’t on the floor for long.

According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Bryant was ruled out for the rest of the night against the Pelicans after playing only 16 minutes. Kobe’s right Achilles was the problem once again:

Bryant struggled at the beginning of the 2015-16 NBA season with his body trying to get back to form following a nine-month absence. Bryant’s battled back from a torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder to play in his final year in the league, but it has been a grind to say the least.

Fortunately, Bryant began to show flashes of his elite form recently. Many believed it may have been only a matter of time before he could get his legs back under him, but now the wear and tear appears to be catching up to the 37-year-old once again.
