The Lakers had one of the more unusual victories last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thanks to injuries and foul issues, the team was down to four eligible players remaining.

Thanks to a rule, the Lakers were allowed to keep Robert Sacre on the floor, as no team is allowed to play with less than five players. But the fact that the Lakers were victorious over the Cavaliers, despite having so few players available, speaks to the heart and resolve of this team.

That was not lost on star player Kobe Bryant, who tweeted his support of the effort after the game:

Bryant made it a point to shout-out Steve Blake who, in his second game back, recorded his first career triple-double. Ryan Kelly added a career high 26 points for the short-handed Lakers who snapped a seven game losing streak with their win in Cleveland.

It is great to see that the team has the support of its veteran players. At a time when the team is losing, and the locker room morale is struggling to stay positive, it is sure to motivate the guys when they see that Bryant is still behind them, supporting everything they go through.

This season has been a trying one for the Lakers. Injuries have decimated the roster, but the team continues to fight through, against all odds. At this point, any encouragement is a positive for the Lakers.
