Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Was Hazed During Rookie Season In L.A.

With all the controversy surrounding Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin of the Miami Dolphins, the practice of rookie hazing has begun to be frowned upon in most professional sports leagues in this country including the NBA.

As a result of hazing getting so much attention lately, former Laker Cedric Ceballos was recently asked by TMZ.com if Kobe Bryant was hazed during the 1996-97 NBA season. Ceballos admits that Kobe was most definitely hazed and because many believed he’d be a superstar in the near future a lot of Laker legends like James Worthy and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got in on the fun:

Obviously, fetching Gatorade, washing cars and carrying bags doesn’t come close to comparing what Martin went through in Miami, but it will make many wonder just how bad things got from Kobe during his rookie year that Ceballos decided not to disclose.
