Larry Nance Jr. does a lot of little things for the Los Angeles Lakers, as he is one of the team’s best defenders and constantly brings energy and hustle. What he is best known for, however, are his ridiculous dunks.

Even though he is only in the middle of his third season in the NBA, Nance has already compiled an impressive list of slams, many of which involve putting a poor defender on a poster.

Choosing one favorite out of the many is a difficult choice, but Nance did so in his appearance on the Lakers Nation Podcast, even if he didn’t want to embarass a teammate.

“I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it anymore. I mean, the one in Brooklyn last year kind of stands out head and shoulders above the rest,” he said. “It was over a seven-footer, in a close game, it was one that I’m pretty fond of.”

Of course, the seven-footer Nance is referring to is Brook Lopez, then of the Brooklyn Nets. Not only is it one of Nance’s favorites, but it was up for Dunk of the Year last season.

Podcast host Trevor Lane also brought up a recent Nance standout, one over Kevin Durant, and Nance agreed that it is in the conversation. “I agree, the KD one was probably top three, for sure. That was definitely a good one.”

Nance also revealed another favorite of his, that many likely won’t remember. “Oddly enough, I can’t tell you why, we were in Memphis and a tip-dunk off a Lou Williams’ miss that’s in my top three,” Nance said.

“For me, it’s still one of my favorites, because it was kind of around Vince Carter. Him being there made it that much cooler.”

Anytime Vince Carter, one of if not, the greatest slam dunk artist is involved, it is sure to stand out. Nance also has a couple other memorable slams against the Golden State Warriors over Festus Ezili as a rookie and David West in his second season.

The next step for Nance is to enter into the Slam Dunk Contest. With All-Star Weekend taking place at the Staples Center this year, it would be the perfect place for him to put on a show.
