According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Young’s status against the Clippers is up in the air:

Many Laker fans consider Young to be one of the few bright spots for the Lakers. Despite the tough season, Young provides a colorful personality while always remaining positive. Since the Lakers have been out of playoff contention since March, Young expressed his desire for the team to be “player haters” and ruin other teams’ playoff hopes.

While on the court, Young gives the Lakers a dependable scoring option off the bench. He is the team’s second highest scorer with an average of 17.2 points per game. At any given point, Young can score in bunches like he did Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Young dropped 40 points which included making his first eight shots.

When the Lakers signed Young, the team offered him a player option. However, Young is rumored to opt-out and test the free agent market.
