According to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, Lakers starting power forward Pau Gasol will miss the next two games and receive an ultrasound on Tuesday before being reevaluated. Gasol tore his planar fascia on February 5th against the Brooklyn Nets, and elected to participate in rehab rather than season-ending surgery.

Pau Gasol (foot), who had soreness after playing 2-on-2 on Sat., is out for at least LAL’s SUN/MON games. Ultrasound coming on Tues.

The Lakers next two games come against sub .500 teams. Sunday night they host the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center, and on Monday they will travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on the second night of a back-to-back.

After those games they have three days of rest before facing the Washington Wizards on Friday March 22nd, a game in which they hope Gasol will be ready to play. Pau’s return has been heavily anticipated, as he is considered to be the missing piece in the Laker rotation.
