Yesterday, it was announced that Pau Gasol was questionable for tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets. Today, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell made it official, Gasol will not play tonight:

Chris Kaman will start in place of Gasol once again and has played exceptional basketball since receiving consistent minutes while Gasol has struggled with his groin injury.

This also means that Gasol may have played his last game as a Laker as it seems more likely than ever that Gasol will be moved at the trade deadline on Thursday.

One of the few Lakers who hasn’t been involved in any trade rumors is Jodie Meeks. Meeks returns to the court tonight, but Mike Trudell reports that he will be coming off the bench:

Meeks has been one of the Lakers most consistent players this season and his return will be much needed.

This game will be the Lakers’ final game before the trade deadline and the team could look much different before their next game.
