Lakers News: Ronny Turiaf One-Ups Kobe, Jumps Over Monster Truck

Everyone remembers the legendary video of Kobe Bryant jumping over an Aston Martin. In case you don’t, here’s a reminder:

The co-star in that video was former Lakers reserve Ronny Turiaf. Tired of being the co-star, Turiaf took matters into his own hands and decided to make his own video to one-up the Mamba by jumping over a moving monster truck on ESPN’s Sportsnation:

The two videos are difficult to compare. You have to give credit to Turiaf for, not only clearing the monster truck, but doing it with a full suit on as well as old-school Chuck Taylor sneakers.

Turiaf definitely gets style points over Kobe, but even in his video he refers to himself as the little brother. And as someone who has an older brother, you never give the older sibling the satisfaction of calling you little. You have to do better than that, Ronny.

In the end, he gets props for trying to outshine Kobe, but trying to do that is always a losing proposition in the end.
