Metta World PeaceMetta World Peace seems to think he has the power to keep Howard in LA. On a radio show this morning, Metta used some colorful words to describe how he plans to keep Dwight in L.A.:

“The bulls that you bullfight…those things that you tie those things to the bulls that make them go crazy? I got two of those things tied to Dwight Howard’s t——–, so he can’t move.”

The start of July is approaching, a time basketball fans in Los Angeles are waiting for to see where both Dwight Howard and Chris Paul decide to go.  One thing is for sure at the Clippers, however; the trade with the Celtics is over.

It appears Boston may have done the damage, being too demanding and scaring the Clippers away. Although Doc Rivers has been a successful coach, the Clippers have the ability to get someone for less money that can also do the job.

Lakers Nation would like to wish a very happy birthday to the late Laker and basketball legend, George Mikan. Mikan averaged 22.6 points over his nine year professional basketball career. He was in the first class elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1959 and named a member of the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1996. He passed away in 2005.

Tim Duncan has more in common with Kobe Bryant than the thirst for his next championship ring. The two NBA greats love Sprite! At least they did in 1999, when this epic blast from the past came out. Missy Elliot makes an appearance and Kobe is sporting his legendary 90’s fro’ in Sprite’s commercial. Check it out for a daily dose of LOLZ.
