teamThe Lakers have hired Larry Lewis as their new player development coach. D’Antoni lost a number of coaches this offseason and is trying to fill his staff with the best talent possible. Lewis spent the past two seasons with the D-Fenders. D’Antoni plans to hire two more full time assistants and one more developmental coach.

Each summer, the Steve Nash Foundation puts together a Showdown, which takes Nash and some of the top NBA and soccer stars from around the globe and puts them on the pit for an exhibition soccer match for charity. Usually, the event is held in New York City, but Showdown will have an additional friendly in Los Angeles on July 14. Check out this post for more details.

Can you imagine if Kobe was your daddy? Apart from your life being absolutely amazing, one thing would be for sure; your pops would love Corona. Yesterday, Bryant spent his daddy’s day watching the Yankees and Angels play down in Anaheim. I am diggin’ those shades!

Kobe Bryant has been immortalized, in metal! A Lakers fan posted a photo on Twitter of a Bryant statue in China. Talk about leaving your mark!
