blackoutA couple of weeks ago Lakers debuted their ‘Hollywood Nights’ jerseys in Brooklyn against the Nets. While the Lakers won’t be donning those jerseys tonight when they take on the Phoenix Suns, the Staples Center crowd will be participating in a ‘Black Out’ tonight.

The Lakers posted a Vine video showing all of the black shirts that have been placed in the seats tonight:

This should be an interesting look for Staples Center tonight. We have seen many different looks such as the ‘White Out’ in Miami for the Heat or the sea of blue shirts that has become customary for Oklahoma City Thunder playoff games. The Lakers going with a black out tonight should really have the arena buzzing and will give a different, darker look to the entire arena which should be a nice effect.

It is pretty cool to see the Lakers doing something like this, and hopefully they will continue to have different nights like these throughout the season. Maybe we can see the first ‘Yellow Out’ soon.
