With the Los Angeles Lakers set for their first home game in two weeks tonight, the Lakers felt the need to reward the fans who have had to wait a long time to see their team back in the Staples Center. In addition, yesterday would have been late owner, Dr. Jerry Buss’ 81st birthday.

Because of these things, ESPN’s Beto Duran reports the Lakers will be giving out some excellent looking bobbleheads featuring Dr. Buss at tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers:

Dr. Buss’ presence will always be felt with the Lakers. The longtime owner did so much, not only for the Lakers, but for the game of basketball and the NBA. The Lakers giving these out is a great gesture to the fans.

It also helps that these bobbleheads look awesome. Getting young Dr. Buss holding up the Larry O’Brien trophy that he hoisted 10 times as Lakers owner was a great idea. With the Lakers D-League affiliate, the D-Fenders, honoring Buss at their game last night, it only makes sense for the Lakers to follow suit.
