Lakers center Pau Gasol, along with his brother Marc Gasol, have officially launched the Gasol Foundation. This charitable organization will be devoted to fighting childhood obesity and empowering children to live healthier lives.

As a part of this launch, the Gasol Brothers have teamed up with Prizeo, a celebrity charity fundraising platform, for a fundraising raffle in which fans (13 and older) can make donations to the organization, starting at $3. With each donation, the person is entered into the raffle. The grand prize winner will win a trip to Los Angeles for a basketball workout or shootaround and lunch with the brothers.

In addition to the grand prize there will be numerous other prizes depending on the amount donated to the organization, ranging from an exclusive e-Card ($10 donation) to a pair of shoes signed by both Gasol brothers ($2000 donation).

Pau is extremely excited about starting the organization and helping the children:

We hope to build a community around these critical children’s health issues and our Prizeo campaign is an important first step in reaching out to our fans to start a dialogue which we hope will lead to healthier dietary and exercise decisions in youth.

The Grand Prize winner will be chosen at random and notified shortly after the campaign closes on September 13th.  For full contest rules, see www.prizeo.com/terms-and-conditions.
