After a successful first season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Xavier Henry’s season was cut short after having surgeries to repair issues in his wrist and knee in April.

While Henry’s wrist has completely healed, he will seek a second opinion on his knee in New York City. After the second opinion from Dr. Keith Pyne, the guard/forward will travel to Germany and receive Regenokine treatment.

Appearing in 43 games last season, Henry averaged 10 points and 2.7 rebounds in 21.1 minutes.

Here is the press release via the Los Angeles Lakers:

Los Angeles, CA (October 18, 2014) – Xavier Henry will travel to New York City to seek a second opinion from Dr. Keith Pyne following this summer’s knee surgery. Henry will then travel to Dusseldorf, Germany and receive treatment from Dr. Jens Hartmann next week to receive Regenokine treatment. Henry was granted permission from the Lakers to miss practices and be absent from the team in order to make these trips. Henry plans to return to Los Angeles by Friday, October 24 and an update on his condition will be given at that time.
