No matter what you want to remember from this week, one thing should stand out. The Lakers came together in an unbelievable win against the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday night, a game where they were down by 25 points. Our Lakers play of the week comes from that game on the defensive end, truly the turning point in that game, and possibly the season.

With less than 30 seconds on the clock, Kobe Bryant just put the Lakers ahead 104-102, but the Hornets were in possession with a chance to tie the game. Eric Gordon kicks it down low to Robin Lopez who goes up for the two handed jam but is rejected by Dwight Howard!

Check out Dwight’s block of the year. Plus, we had to include our winner of worst play of the week by a Lakers opponent, because we just couldn’t resist.
