After getting destroyed by the Dallas Mavericks in their first game of a three-game road trip, the Los Angeles Lakers take on Dwight Howard and the Rockets tomorrow in Houston.

With Omer Asik, Dwight Howard, and Chandler Parsons in the Rockets’ starting line-up, the Lakers are going to need to start bigger and stronger than they did last night. For the past two games, Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni has started Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Shawne Williams, Xavier Henry and Pau Gasol. Though D’Anotni hasn’t committed yet to a new group of starters, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, he said they’re going big.

Steve Nash recently admitted that he’s been struggling with nerve issues everyday. The Lakers point guard was not on the practice floor today, according to L.A. Times Mike Bresnahan. Though, it is possible Nash could have left practice early to receive treatment.

After four games, D’Antoni’s pinpointed what the Lakers are missing. Unfortunately, the Lakers may not have it until Kobe Bryant returns to the floor.

The Lakers gave away 52 points in the paint last night, scoring only 36 themselves, and their defense was nonexistent. Dwight Howard looked strong in the Rockets win over the Portland Trailblazers last night after struggling the night before in their loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Lakers look for their first road win of the regular season on Thursday.
