Lakers practice ran much longer than usual today, and Lakers Nation has you covered with all the greatest videos from practice. For the first time in weeks Steve Nash was practicing five-on-five with his teammates.

Nash talked to the media about the progress he’s made and said he is “optimistic” to play Sunday in game one of the playoffs. Nash details what he has and has not been able to do over the past couple weeks. Plus, has he ever thought about hanging up his jersey after all the injuries this season?

Mike D’Antoni seemed confident in his guys, but he also praised the Spurs, Tony Parker and Coach Popovich. D’Antoni talked in length about what the Lakers have to do against Tony Parker, and discussed the “new team” without Kobe Bryant.

Metta World Peace chatted about fourth quarter game-on-the-line situations without Kobe. He also said that both Dwight Howard and Mike D’Antoni have something to prove. And, why did LeBron James come up in that conversation?

Pau Gasol also discussed the difference between having and not having Kobe in pressure situations. Plus, Pau mentioned that the first time he’d ever been to Kobe’s home was this week to visit him. Gasol also responded to questions about his playoff success and his future with the Lakers.

Finally, Dwight Howard addressed a mass of reporters. After standard questions about matching up against the San Antonio Spurs, Dwight talked about the team dinner he’s organized for his teammates. He also touched on what fourth quarter situations are like without the Black Mamba and how he’s always dreamt about hitting that buzzer-beater to win the game.
