With the trading deadline a few days away, head coach Mike D’Antoni remains interested in bringing in a familiar face to the Los Angeles Lakers. Here is Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports.

Raja Bell (who had mentioned about wanting to play for the Lakers) hasn’t played at all this season for the Utah Jazz. The Jazz continue to look for the right deal for Bell, who has stayed in shape in hopes of playing this season.

Bell came into the NBA in the 2000-01 season with the Philadelphia 76ers. He actually played in the NBA Finals with the Sixers, who lost to the Lakers in five games. He’s also played for the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors, and Utah Jazz in two separate stints. Bell is perhaps best known for clotheslining Kobe Bryant in the 2006 NBA Playoffs that got him suspended for one game.

Bell averaged 6.4 points last season for the Utah Jazz in 34 games. He’s averaged 9.9 points in his 12-year career and has shot .406 behind the three-point line.

It remains to be seen if Mitch Kupchak will make a move for Bell or for anyone else. Kupchak had mentioned previously that he would not make any moves before the trading deadline.
